Nose Contouring

What is Nose Contouring?

Patients are fully awake during the procedure, so they will experience no negative effects of general anesthesia or sedation. Patients are also given a mirror to watch every stage of their procedure and offer feedback throughout the process to ensure they are satisfied with their results. Once the procedure is complete, patients can return to work or their normal routine the same day. Results of a non-surgical rhinoplasty last about two years. At that time, a touch-up would be required to maintain results.

How Does Nose Contouring Work?

Rhinoplasties can be accomplished without surgery through the use of injectables like BOTOX®, Radiesse® or Restylane® to contour and shape the nose. The filler is injected into the selected areas of the nose to help camouflage bumps and to shape the tip and give volume where needed. The procedure is relatively painless and is accomplished from start to finish in just a few minutes. While some patients are concerned that adding filler will make their noses look larger, this is not true. Non-surgical rhinoplasty is about enhancing the contours of the nose. When this is done, the resulting appearance of the nose is simply more aesthetic and smooth, not larger.

Why get Nose Contouring?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty has no effect on nasal breathing because it involves only injections that do not affect the breathing passages. Other good candidates for a non-surgical rhinoplasty are those who have already undergone surgical rhinoplasty but are not completely satisfied with their results. Non-surgical rhinoplasty can produce the original result intended without requiring an additional invasive nose surgery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Injection or Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty (also known as Non-Surgical Nose Job or the 5 minute nose job) is a simple procedure used to lift and straighten the tip of the nose, camouflage a bump or correct a deviated nasal bridge by injecting Radiesse or Botox into very precise areas of the nose. The procedure can also be used to make a wide bridge or round tip appear more narrow and defined.

Anyone with a mild to moderate nasal hump, irregularity or deviation who does not desire a change in the size of their nose is a candidate for Injection Rhinoplasty (Non-Surgical Nose Job). Clients with drooping nasal tips have also had excellent results from the procedure. The Non-Surgical Nose Job is a great option for Asian clients who have a flattened nasal bridge (upper dorsum) and/or a broad, poorly defined nasal tip and dorsum. The procedure improves the definition of the nose, and increases the height of the nasal bridge, resulting in a much improved profile. The procedure does not result in a “Caucasian” appearing nose since the fundamental structure of the client’s nose is not being altered.

irst, Injection Rhinoplasty is much more affordable–about one eighth to one tenth of traditional surgical rhinoplasty cost. Second, there is no downtime. Usually, there is no bruising, pain, or swelling and you don’t have to miss work. Third, it is subtle. Since the size of your nose is not changed, people will notice that you look better, but most will not be able to put their finger on the reason. And you don’t have to tell them.

The duration of the effect depends on the filler selected. If you choose Radiesse the effect will last for about one year. At the end of that time, the filler is broken down by the body and excreted gradually, symmetrically and slowly. Your nose does not look funny while the Radiesse is being absorbed. It just slowly returns to its previous shape. The breakdown process starts about 10 months after injection. Once the filler vanishes, your nose will look exactly the same as it looked prior to the procedure.
